THE EXPERIENCE

In 2.5 hours of peak morning activity, a count of 25 to 50 species is realistic. Not because we rush, but because Alonso has spent 5+ years learning exactly where to go and when.

5:30 AM
Alonso meets you at your accommodation or central Cahuita. Equipment ready. No waiting.
5:50 AM
Trail entry. Binoculars ready. First species appear within minutes of stepping into the forest, guests are usually surprised at how immediately the birds show up.
6:30 AM
Peak activity window. The spotting scope is deployed for detailed views of Toucans, Tanagers, and Trogons. This is the moment most guests talk about for months afterward.
7:50 AM
Wrap-up. Full printed species list, photos reviewed, questions answered. Back at departure point by 8:00 AM, your whole day still ahead of you.
